This Privacy Policy explains how Lispora (“Lispora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the Lispora mobile application (the “App”) and the website at lispora.puhustudios.com (together with the App, the “Service”). It is written to meet the requirements of Apple's App Store Review Guidelines, the Apple Developer Program License Agreement, the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
1. The short version
Lispora does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. The App is designed to work entirely on your device. You do not need an account, you do not need to sign in, and we do not run analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. We do not know who you are, what you listen to, or how long you use the App.
2. Information we do not collect
For clarity, Lispora does not collect any of the following:
- Your name, email address, phone number, or any other contact information
- Account credentials — the App does not require an account
- Your location, IP address, or device identifiers (IDFA, IDFV, advertising ID)
- Usage data (which episodes you play, how long you listen, your quiz answers, scores, streaks, or achievements)
- Diagnostics, crash reports, or performance metrics sent to us
- Microphone audio, photos, contacts, calendars, health data, or files outside the App
- Payment information (the App is currently free; if that ever changes, purchases will be processed by Apple, not by us)
3. Information that stays on your device
To make the App useful, certain information is generated and stored locally on your device only. This data is never transmitted to Lispora's servers or to any third party:
- Your listening progress within episodes
- Episodes you've saved, bookmarked, or downloaded for offline listening
- Your streak, completed-episodes count, total stars and achievements
- App preferences (theme, playback speed, sleep timer, language)
You can erase all of this information at any time by deleting the App, which removes it from your device.
4. Apple's services
Lispora is distributed through the Apple App Store. When you download or interact with the App, Apple may collect information directly from you in accordance with Apple's Privacy Policy. This may include App Store account data, App Analytics (only if you've opted in within iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), and crash reports that Apple may share with developers in aggregated, anonymized form. Lispora does not control Apple's data practices.
5. Third-party services
Lispora does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, attribution SDKs, social-media SDKs, cloud sync services, or remote configuration services. The App makes network requests only to download podcast audio and episode metadata from our content delivery network; these requests do not include any identifiers that could be used to identify you.
6. Children's privacy
Lispora is suitable for general audiences, including children, and complies with COPPA. Because we do not collect any personal information from any user, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in their country). No verifiable parental consent is required because no data is collected.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws, you have rights with respect to your personal data, including the right to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict processing of your data, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Because Lispora does not collect, store, or process any personal data about you, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, delete, or transfer. You can always erase the local data on your device by deleting the App.
8. Do Not Track
Lispora honors Do Not Track signals by default: we don't track anyone, regardless of browser or device settings.
9. International users
Because Lispora does not collect personal data, no international transfer of personal data takes place when you use the App.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” above and post the updated policy at this URL. If a future version of Lispora collects any personal data, we will update this policy and the App's App Store privacy disclosures before that data collection begins, and we will request your consent where required by law.
